I have been with Guardian Litigation Group since May 2025. I only needed help with two credit cards. The first and only one that was settled started at $12,110, they negotiated it down to $5,575 which is great but then they tack on their fees of $10.95 a month and $3211.33 for settling. So I am only saving a little over $3,000 but my credit score is so screwed now. When I started my credit was at 825 and now I am at 530. That to me is not worth a savings of $3,000. I could have just been paying the card the $422 a month and not had this HUGE hit to my credit. I was told it would be a temporary decrease in my credit that would only last 6 months. I told them that I was planning on moving this summer and I was insured that my credit would be better by then. Now I can not purchase a house. I have one other card that they are supposed to be taking care of for $11,988 but it has been in "negotiations" for almost a year. They called and said I could get a loan to settle it faster but what is the point in that when I essentially had a loan with the credit card company and was already paying them. The point was to pay it off at a lower amount, not start another loan. I think I am going to pull that card from GLG and pay it myself in hopes to get my credit score back so I can move. Joining GLG was by far the worst decision I have made.
