I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a company that conducted an interview with me but failed to uphold basic communication standards and fairness. They scheduled a virtual interview for a specific date and time, during which I was fully prepared and completed the interview successfully. The next day, I received an email thanking me for my participation and asking for a follow-up response to a quick question. I promptly answered within the allotted time, expecting to be compensated for my efforts, but was later informed that there would be no payment for this time. This company has my agreed-upon rate and requested a five-minute response without mentioning that it would be unpaid. This feels like a clear misuse of the platform, as they should compensate for any time spent in consultation. I am posting this review on the broker site that facilitated this consultation, having worked with them for three years. I believe that all consulting applicants deserve honesty, respect, and professionalism. Companies should not schedule interviews they do not intend to honor, as free work is essentially theft. I urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter and document the company's behavior to raise awareness among other applicants. Thank you for considering this issue.
