I arrived at checkin, and spent 90 minutes at the checkin counter, including repeated visits. The Gulf Air representatives complained about my weight of luggage, I explained that this was heavier coming from London because of Christmas, they said it was not possible to travel with this weight, I showed them my baggage tags, they said London made a mistake, and I complained. They said unless you pay $150.00 dollars immediately I was not going to travel. They took my luggage to one side and refused to check me in.They then said, i need to take our 7 kg from one case, so I did, then they said you need to throw away your belongings, because you cannot travel on the aircraft.I then completed this task, I was given boarding passes, and I proceeded to immigration, I was chased by Gulf Air airline personnel, police and was told I was no going to travel.I had a full blown argument with Gulf Air personnel, and now I must pay $125.00 or be left in Columbo, these are the rules.I paid $125.00 to get my flight.This is nothing short of personal harassment and incompetency, with no idea as an airline how to communicate or treat customers.I travel 80 times a year on multiple airlines in multiple jurisdictions, I have never been treated with so much disrespect - Gulf Air is a liability to society and the airline community.I paid for my flight, for 35kg of luggage, my seats and apart from nearly getting arrested, another $125.00Do NOT use this airline at any cost.
