This review focuses on the lead-up to surgery and the procedure itself, as it’s too early to assess the final hairline outcome.My initial telephone consultation in January was brief and not conducted by a lead doctor (in fact his credentials weren’t even confirmed). I expected a follow-up call from the doctor or surgery closer to my surgery on February 12, but this didn’t happen, rather a text message the day before. On the day of surgery, my consultation with Dr. Rafiq was good, but I was slightly disappointed by some details. For instance, a team member came in to shave my hair when I had opted to keep the top unshaven—something they should have been aware of. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room could have been better; I noticed bleach bottles left out on the side. The surgical staff were generally polite and kind, but they didn’t explain much of the process unless I specifically asked. However, the implant surgeon was particularly friendly and helpful.Dr. Rafiq did check in during the transplant and again towards the end, but a final consultation after the procedure would have felt more reassuring. Instead, the implant surgeon provided general post-care advice. For some reason, the whole experience felt a bit rushed and lacked personality, making it less reassuring than I had hoped.Overall, there is definite room for improvement in their customer service and hygiene. While the staff were friendly, better communication and attention to detail by the senior team would enhance the experience. That said, for the price, this level of service may be expected. I’ll provide an update on the results in six months.
