Frustrating Coupon Experience on the Website

I want to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had using coupons on the website and interacting with the customer support team. It all began when I attempted to use a 20% off coupon for my entire order. After applying it, my cart total dropped to around $20, but every time I tried to check out, I encountered an error regarding taxes, preventing me from completing my order. Eventually, that coupon vanished from my account for a period. Next, I tried two additional coupons. The 12% off coupon worked as expected—the subtotal remained unchanged, and the discount was logical. However, when I applied a 20% off coupon for specific items, my subtotal unexpectedly increased instead of decreasing. It was baffling because a coupon should lower your total. Initially, I spoke with a support agent who provided an explanation that the subtotal increased because the coupon removed sale prices and reverted items to full price before applying the discount. This reasoning felt confusing and somewhat questionable. I requested to escalate my issue to a manager multiple times, but the agent refused and eventually stopped responding. He offered me a $10 gift card, but since I was already trying to use a gift card, that wasn’t beneficial. On December 29th, I started communicating with another agent. He began by apologizing for the confusion and suggested refreshing the page or using a different device for the coupon application. I agreed to try the different device since that was my only remaining option. However, on January 1st, he informed me that the 20% coupon was no longer valid and couldn’t be reissued or replaced. This contradicted his previous statements and added to my frustration after days of back-and-forth. Neither agent provided clear answers or resolved my issue. They failed to escalate my problem or offer a satisfactory solution. I spent an excessive amount of time trying to resolve this, and it felt like they didn't genuinely care. I wouldn’t recommend making purchases from this website. I’m not the first to share this kind of review. The only reason I placed this order is that my partner initially bought some items for me that didn’t fit, and we received a gift card instead of a refund.
