Al, our tour guide, shared a wealth of info throughout our 4 days on this excursion. We had stops for lunch at unique restaurants both on way and return. Friday evening Taste of Macon served unique drinks and small bites. The Saturday historical and Cherry Blossom Trail tour led by a docent was outstanding . One of the highlights was a surprise visit on Sunday to the Whistlestop cafe of Fried Green Tomatoes fame. Al and Rich set up chairs on parade route for us, thoughtfully on the shady side of the street. They were amazing hosts and took care of us every step of the way. I have to say the parade was small town but participants were enthusiastic and the cherry trees were in peak form. Happening Travel was accommodating in every way possible
