We had heard mixed reviews about antenatal classes (not HPHB) and were slightly apprehensive about what the classes would be like and what we would get out of it. In the end we were both so delighted that we did sign up and couldn’t have had a better experience. The midwives leading the courses were lovely, knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and made everyone feel comfortable. The sessions were a good mix of being given information and also socialising and practicing various ‘skills’. We also met some lovely people (although this wasn’t a driving force for us to do the course) it was nice to come away with friends in the same situation as us. The online sessions were very useful - for me I was particularly interested in speaking with the obstetrician and the paediatrician. It’s great they have so many experts on hand to answer your questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
