I was drawn in by an Instagram ad for stylish, comfortable footwear. The website appeared credible and claimed to be a boutique based in Colorado. However, it turned out to be a deceptive operation from overseas – the shoes are made entirely of plastic and emit a strong gasoline odor. They will only consider a return if I cover the shipping costs back to the overseas location. Upon further inspection of the website, I noticed that the images were heavily edited, and the pictures of the supposed 'two' founders are actually just one individual in different poses.
