I've been using HeavyNode for about a year and half now. When I decided to make my own server, I went with HeavyNode.HeavyNode's prices are some of the best I've ever seen. HeavyNode is probably the only trustworthy host I've seen that actually offers prices as low as they do for the performance at hand. ESPECIALLY for shared hosting. I genuinely think their shared hosting plans (even the ones without dedicated cores), are amazing for the price. If you're buying a shared hosting service, I think HeavyNode is definitely the way to go. Their panel is nice to look at and isn't full of a load of crap like other hosts. Everything I want from a panel, HeavyNode has, and the panel looks great. Some panels don't offer phpMyAdmin - HeavyNode does. Some panels don't let you change the startup command - HeavyNode does. In addition to that, you can choose what ports to allocate, and their panel is WAY better looking than some other ones I've seen.Their support is good for the price and the size of the company. I think people are a bit too harsh on critcizing the support of HeavyNode. Their response times are usually within a day and they respond and handle tickets on weekends too a lot of the time. I also like the fact that you can get support through the Discord or just the traditional billing panel. For me personally, I don't mind either but I've seen hosts which force you to have a Discord account just to get support. Now that I've gotten all the good stuff out of the way, let's talk about why I'm leaving 3 stars...I've been renting one of HeavyNode's (managed) dedicated servers for almost a year straight now. In addition to that, I've been paying about $9 extra a month for offsite, managed backups. For starters, HeavyNode offers their panel and managed services on dedicated servers at no extra cost, which is great. But recently, I needed to obtain a backup from my dedicated server because of some lost files. I contacted support and was told my backups couldn't be restored because: "a PDU failure, looks like one of the daily backups was still in process and didn't complete correctly, which seems to have damaged a part of the backup repository for your server."Again, I've been paying for a a dedicated server from HeavyNode for about a year now. I understand incidents do happen and cutting them slack is something I really wanted to do, but this incident made me lose all my trust in HeavyNode. I had been paying over $100+ USD per month to make sure I had my data secure when it clearly was not. If something major had happened and ALL my data was gone, I would have been completely out of luck. For this reason, I decided to move from HeavyNode to another bare-metal host provider, and manage my panel and backups myself. Combine this with a few other nuances, such as me not being able to change my dedicated server's primary port from 25565 to another split server forcing me to pay for an extra shared host server for my proxy.Another time, I was charged $114 on the 5th of the month when my billing was due on the 19th. I was refunded for this incident, but it's things like this that just pile up and hurt the trust I have with the host. Because of the lack of trust I have for HeavyNode's dedicated (managed) plans, I wouldn't recommend anyone to get them. If you want to get a dedicated server from HeavyNode, I recommend managing it yourself.I really wanted to give HeavyNode a good review, especially since I've been with them for so long. But, the lack of trust with not knowing what might be happening on the backend of my managed server was just totally offputting and forced me to move hosts completely.
don't buy vps their templates and iso aren't working and you can't use a custom iso, and if you ask for adding a iso for manual instalation they respond exceding the 24hours refund pollicy explicity to don't allow you to ask for refund. really bad bad service, never bought vps, with hostings i never had a problem but any support ticket is really slow to get any response
I have used HeavyNode for over a year now, and I'm almost upset to have to leave it, but this was my final straw. I had an extremely long wait time for support, even with marking the ticket "high priority." Because of the wait, the misreading of my original ticket, and an unavailable live chat, my server was down for 2 full days. Which made the staff and players rather upset, and it was Frankly rather embarrassing. This unfortunate event really overshadows the good things the HeavyNode team has done for me and my server, like being helpful with support, and while not always quick to respond, it was sometimes in a reasonable time depending on ticket priority.I needed a backup save due to griefing. I asked for "As Close to 10:30 pm PST 10/16/23 as possible. So I think that's the midnight backup" and was given the noon backup, and had to wait again for the midnight backup. While I understand they have a smaller staff team, it is unacceptable to have a high priority ticket sit for 25 hours. And then not even give the correct fix due to misreading/misunderstanding the ticket. With another 18 hours to get the correct save.I want to recommend the host as the servers them selves run alright, the prices arent too crazy (they do have sales semi-often) and their support, when you can reach them, is fine. But I can only recommend this service if you think you won't need any support as the wait times are just too much.

Whether you're an individual player or part of a team like mine, you can trust HeavyNode to deliver a superior hosting experience. Typically I wait a few months after receiving a service before writing a review, but Im just so so impressed with the quality of service so far, and I've been with other server providers before, and did research on countless other servers before making the decision to join the HeavyNode family. Very very impressed so far. 5 Stare review.
I am going to start this off by saying that I know they are going to reply, and I’m sure there is credibility, but at the end of the day, I believe, as a customer, the service is in the wrong. I had a guy make a Minecraft Server for me and a few friends, and we ran it for about a month, maybe a little more, maybe less. Then we got busy, and I had to take a lot of time to work and deal with personal matters, which should be understandable. There is an extensive list of reasons any given person could step away from a server long enough to see it go delinquent. Work, school, financial trouble, breaks, loss of family/friends, the list goes on. When I returned to get on my server, I renewed my $11 subscription and was met with the fact that my files had been deleted, and my world (along with everyone’s work) had been wiped. I agree 100% on locking the server, and rendering it unplayable since the account was in delinquent and was unpaid. What I don’t agree with, is deleting all the Plug-Ins I paid to have installed, as well as a month or so of work & memories. The reply I got was ‘it’s in the Terms Of Service’ and was even told ‘it should be common sense’. That’s funny because Minecraft Realms has the system where if you don’t pay, it locks the realm, but keeps all the progress there, so you can return at any time. Hiding stuff in the TOS that most people don’t read, especially when they aren’t the ones setting up the service, and then using it as a shield when you are called out, is embarrassing. My main point of the review is this: if you want a server, and you want it to be hosted for a reasonable price, use HeavyNode. However, if you want to have a Server, and you want to have it ran at a reasonable price, and not risk losing all progress in the case of literally life, avoid them. They hide behind TOS, wipe all your data and waste your time. I wasn’t going to make this review, but Rodrigo with their Customer Support had the audacity to tell me ‘it’s common sense’. No, it’s scummy. You’re upset you’re being called out for it. As of this, I have received a Refund of $11, and have been locked out of my HeavyNode account, so further interactions with this brand is not an option. I will be going to a different hosting service that doesn’t delete all my data when I have other more important matters to tend to, and I recommend anyone else does the same.
Need to create support ticket to request for Aikar's flags and open UDP port for Geyser plugin, but they deliver as promised. Hosting a server for a few friends and TPS never drops even with some resource intensive plugins. If you can't fork a fortune yet still need a comfortably-performing server to play on, definitely give HeavyNode a try. Their pricing is competitive, given that you're not trying to push the capabilities of resource limitations.
