HORRIBLE BILLING!!! FAKE REVIEWS!!! FORCED VISITS FOR MONEY!!!!

I'll start by saying that it was my intention to leave them a Google review, yet I cannot find a way to do so. Their website has a section for "Google reviews" full of glowingly positive reviews and even a little text blurb that says "Leave us a Google review," yet that blurb is not a link and does not go anywhere. These "Google reviews" on their website are very obviously fake and do not actually exist. Now, on to my experience: I developed COVID-19 symptoms on 12/17/24 and tested positive on 12/18/24. I Googled "Paxlovid prescription without visit" and Helix was the first option that came up. Their website was well-organized and said they took 60 different insurance plans, mine (Cigna) included. I filled out their survey and expected to get a prescription without any hassle. However, at the end of filling out their online survey that took me nearly 45 minutes to complete, I was advised that I did not qualify to get a prescription without a telehealth visit and that they had scheduled one for me in 30 minutes. I was very sick and desperate (and afraid, as I have several comorbidities that put me at higher risk of severe infection), so I elected to go forward with the telehealth visit, since I knew they took my insurance (per their website). I saw a provider for less than 10 minutes and they sent my prescription.Fast forward to a few weeks ago, my insurance sends me an explanation of benefits showing that Helix tried to charge them $1500 for the 10 minutes they spent with me. $1500!!!! My insurance, of course, denied this. My insurance also stated they were absolutely not paying any of the bill because this provider was not in network with my insurance. When viewing the statement that was sent 1/16/25 from Helix, it states that they billed Medical Mutual (my insurance in the state of Ohio). It is written very clearly on the back of my insurance card that any services received outside of the state of Ohio are to be billed to Cigna instead. Helix did not do this and because of that, the claim was denied in full. Now, Helix "wrote off" over $1400 and left me with a balance of $78.75, but this is incorrect. If Helix really is in network with Cigna, this visit needs to be charged to Cigna and then they would ultimately leave me with a $40 copay, which is what I pay at all urgent cares, including virtual ones. The only exception is if I have testing done, which Helix did not do for me on any level. I am currently very busy caring for my wife whom just had surgery, so I figured I would address this when we get home next week and I would take care of everything then. After all, I just got the statement on 1/16.Now, I received an email at 4:23 AM on 1/18/25 stating that Helix would be charging my credit card on file on 1/19/25 for the $78.75 and that if I had any issues with this, I could call a number listed in the email. I have called this number several times today and have yet to reach a human being. It always goes to voicemail. It states that you should not expect a response for 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS! So you'll give me less than 24 hours' notice before charging me nearly $100 very unexpectedly, but then give me no way of communicating with you that your billing is incorrect or asking for you to delay charging my card until I have the proper funds at the end of this week. Absolute trash!!!I am FURIOUS that this company is obviously not experienced in medical billing and that they are going to take money from me without allowing me to take care of the balance when I am able to (which I would, IF IT WAS CORRECT!). I am furious that I was basically forced into doing a telehealth visit when their website advertised that one was not needed. I am also angry that there is no where for me to leave a proper review since their Google business page very obviously does not exist and the reviews on their website are very obviously FAKE. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!
