My experience with Hinksey Labs has been enriching, interactive, and most importantly, fun. My mentor Sunny has been exceptional. The way he explains topics has genuinely helped me throughout my research process. The course is structured to avoid lengthy lectures, and with a small cohort, there is plenty of back-and-forth discussion. The activities are designed so that we practice new concepts shortly after learning them, which reinforces active recall and deeper understanding. Sunny is always open to feedback, which makes the mentors very approachable and nothing like the intimidating professor dynamic you might be used to. Hinksey Labs clearly prioritizes its students and, remarkably, even offers the opportunity to publish research which is something most undergraduates never get access to. If you have the chance to be a part of this program, seize it. You won't regret it.
