The Hoka Clifton was exceptionally comfortable for the first dozen or so wearings. I have a high arch and plantar fasciitis, so when things started going bad, I noticed. The shoes just didn't maintain support. The arch support wore down quickly and my feet started to pronate significantly. I found that I couldn't maintain my balance and walk in a straight line. Please note that I am not a runner. I do walk a lot and do not experience this problem in my Brooks or Kuru shoes.
