Adam has been an absolute pleasure to work in 2020; he strives to be the best in his field, and is certainly in that top bracket. Adam has also been so helpful in the development of my business, going out of his way to develop a strong network of contacts.Seems strange to see negativity on this page; I have never had a bad experience with Adam or Holburn Adams as a company.Looking forward to working with Adam more in the future, and further building our already strong relationship!
I have known Adam professionally and personally now for around 7 years and he has helped me and been at the end of the phone with top class legal advice every time I’ve needed him. After I posted this review of my experience and feelings in dealing with Holborn Adams, they posted a reply. A reply that had lies, half truths and privileged information within it, all intended to ridicule me. In their reply they called me a lunatic when they had all my medical records and were well aware that I suffer from ASD. That is not lunacy, it is a disability. Their reply is in fact libellous. When this was pointed out to them on another social media site, they took their reply down. They made a complaint to TrustPilot and I had to reword my review. Here is the reworded review. For some reason I am unable to paste their reply to my initial review into my reworded review.On a human level the reply by HA knowing how disturbed I have been over three years of harassment with a negligent police force allowing it to continue, is vindictive and mean. Kicking someone when they are already down and in need of lawyers is not what any good law firm would do. It should tell anyone how this company act when a client is dissatisfied with the way they have handled issues and dares to make it known. Once I raised a complaint with HA, instead of doing what one should expect a law firm to do, show concern and attempt to resolve an issue, they slammed the door in my face very fast. Forcing a ‘complaints process’ that did not fully go through their own complaints process. In my case Holborn Adams couldn't have cared less. They are powerful, they know it. I am not. I went to HA in order to litigate the police. In itself a very difficult process. That was the only reason, something that they were well aware of. I spent 6 months going over the same evidence 3x with two different lawyers. When I highlighted an issue of distrust of them within emails, they called me to make me feel comfortable. HA never produced real paperwork. There was little if any transparency. They continually evaded answering the question that I had asked since our first meeting: Did I / we have a case against the police? On its base level it was an easy question to answer given the three main reasons.Two months in, I felt something was wrong and made it clear that I felt as if I was being played. That was quickly pacified by them. By the end of the six months Holborn Adams had twisted it to say we went to them to handle a police complaint. Unless someone is wealthy, and I am not, no one goes to a powerful law firm to handle a police complaint. There is a huge difference between the actual reason and what they had twisted it to be. There could have been many reasons for HA to do this. None of them favouring me as a client. HA gave a hard sell at the beginning. Couldn’t have been more attentive, This led to having me sign forms that in truth needed another lawyer to go over. A ‘Get it while it’s hot’ attitude. Desperately, after over 3 years of harassment that had seen us driven out of a home, huge amounts of criminal damage and with police negligence in not dealing with it in a way that the police should, this included me being framed by the police and falsely charged, that the CPS had no choice but to drop, I signed with HA believing we had the 'dream team'. I sent them most of my inheritance, £24,000. this after already giving them £1,200 for an initial meeting making clear why we had gone to them. In the end despite reservations of the huge amount of money they asked for upfront, I / we felt we had no choice but to go with them. It is not easy finding lawyers that will litigate the police and seem to have the time to do so. I / we were desperate to get out of the hell our lives had become. The hell we are still in.Once we had signed the paperwork, the lawyer we had retained to deal with my situation, stopped communicating with us about the case. We were passed on. This is a law firm that clearly knows what they are doing. They are obviously capable when they want to be however, given other negative reviews I’ve seen on here, it seems that when they want to, they play the game for themselves not their clients. That is contrary to what any law firm should do. I went to Holborn Adams to find Justice against a very powerful entity, the police. In doing so I / we put all our trust, faith and a huge amount of emotion in them to do the right thing. Handing over private information that in some ways they ended up using against me. I ended up being played and having my money taken from me with absolutely no real service being given by Holborn Adams, other than them building hours to attempt to justify the large amount of money. Information that wasn't needed to prove police negligence. It has left me in a position where I have been played. There has to be better law firms out there. A law firm once retained who will fight for you first and foremost. In my case, when push came to shove, Holborn Adams only seem to have thought of themselves.
