We’re just back from a 3 week holiday in India which I can only describe as insanely brilliant. Clare at Holiday Architects listened to us and completely ‘got’ what we were after - smaller, boutique hotels, some countryside destinations (as well as great stays in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur), plenty of walking and cooking/local eating opportunities and not too many early starts or very long link up journeys. Clare also helped us tag on a final, chill out week in Kerala, drifting on a houseboat and staying in a couple of top backwaters’ resorts, the last one right on the Arabian sea. She stayed in close touch with her excellent local travel company contacts whilst we were in India - our driver and guides were all fab and any minor issues quickly sorted.
