I bought a Stoneleigh Longline coat last April with inheritance money that I received from my late grandpa. I thought I was buying something that would, given the price tag, last for years. Started wearing it when the weather got colder in October and by January I was experiencing problems with the zip not knitting together properly. I contacted HC and they promptly told me to send it back for them to assess. I sent it that very day leaving me with nothing but a flimsy raincoat to wear in the winter! After a few weeks I got an email confirming that they would either refund or exchange the coat. Great, I was initially happy to buy another Stoneleigh coat and they emailed me asking to contact them to pay the difference (which I would have paid). As this had all taken quite a while I the weather had changed and I decided to opt for a shorter coat which was slightly less than my original coat. I emailed them but have heard nothing since. I have chased them up and asked them to call which they tried once but I missed - no voicemail was left or any other attempt made to contact me. I have now emailed them asking for them to issue me refund as per their original proposal but absolute silence! If I get no response then I’m going to be left with no choice but to contact trading standards (and I really don’t want to have to be that person!). I loved my coat and felt so special wearing something from a company that I really admired but unfortunately that is now dwindling away thanks to their poor customer service.
