In searching for the best form of financing, I considered four different companies. Each had its own unique model. Unison, by far, had what I saw as the fairest and most unique product out there. Indeed, the products offered by companies like Point and Unlock are very greedy, especially if you are planning to sell your house within the next five years. Not so with Unison. After hearing what the other three companies had to offer, I was behind Unison product 100%. Adding to my discomfort with the other products, was the slick “used car salesman” tactics of the representatives. I felt like I needed to take a shower after speaking with them. They bristled at difficult questions. What they presented as a shiny new car, was in many cases an obvious lemon. I should know, I’m an accountant. I worked with Chloe at Unison. I could not have asked for a better person to have guided me through this process. She approached it with kindness and dignity, and a personal touch that made me feel valued and important. She won me over through her honesty and her sincerity. She also quickly facilitated the close of my financing, which was very important to me, and which the other providers could not. Although I’m sure that Chloe has many people that she deals with every day, she made me feel like I was her sole focus. I thought her to be an incredible human being, and I count myself extremely blessed to have had her guiding me through this process. The only tiny downside, was the appraiser. He was unfriendly, haughty and unknowledgable about the distinct aspects of historic homes, as is mine. His appraisal was $45,000 less than another appraisal that I received. In my market, they really need to find somebody else because he was absolutely terrible. However, the Unison product and working with Chloe far outweighed any negatives experience through the appraisal process. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found Unison, and I most highly recommend them as a company.
