Had a very bad experience. Looked for accommodation in a specific town. Got a list. No. 1 was sold out. Picked no. 2 and booked it. When I entered the address in my GPS I found the hotel is more than 40 miles away in a totally different town. I phoned Hotel.com and complained that there site mislead me and asked if the deal can be cancelled. They said it was no problem. Twice I asked if there are any costs involved in the cancellation and twice I was assured there are no costs. Surprise, surprise. I got charged the full cost of the accommodation. Five emails later, the best I could get out of them was: we will get back to you in 24 hours.
Be warned: stay away from Hotel.com or any of their affiliates. There are much better and more honest companies giving far better deals.
