They dont protect tenants and lie to your face. We returned the apartment in great state, cleaner that it was given to us, with all the equipment in place and working. But these scammers did not return full deposit, charged for cleaning 400+ eur!! and wrote fake bills with old dates as "proof" to never return our money, madness! They just know it will be pricier to hire a lawyer and go to court, that's why they scam you on your deposit. Home owner is such a liar that blocked me on whatsapp so I would not contact her to address false charges.
