I can't see the point of the ombudsman. They have had my complaint for 2 1/2 years and still haven't started to investigate it. I contact them every 6 months or so to check on any progress. Still nothing.No wonder housing associations flout the law, they know there is no one to hold them accountable. The ombudsmanservice is not fit for purpose. Get rid of it and start from scratch. Social housing tenants should be on the management team so that they can provide another perspective on housing problems. It's clear that the ombudsman service has no understanding of the distress and upset caused by substandard housing.
