A complete & utter waste of taxpayers' money. I contacted these people to report health & safety issues about a company that I was working for in Nottinghamshire. Some of the issues were very serious ones that could have resulted in serious injuries to workers & even death, issues such as fire escape being blocked within the factory with full pallets, materials being left on stairwells causing trip hazards, live electrical cables hanging out of the walls & so much more. I provided HSE with all the details they needed about these issues with the full address & contact details of who they needed to contact. However, they replied to me via email two days later simply stating that they weren't prepared to take any action as I no longer work & the company, therefore, they needed the details from somebody who was still employed there to make sure that the health & safety issues were still posing a problem within that company even though it was only less than a month that I had been working there. I felt that the response I got from HSE was disgusting when I had explained to them that there were issues within the workplace that could have resulted in serious injury or even worse death. It was almost as if they simply couldn't be bothered to take on the case & investigate & these people are calling themselves health & safety executives. They're a complete joke, a waste of time & taxpayers' money.
