I attended the Harley Street Hair Clinic requesting a more natural hairline, having had old-fashioned transplants years previously. They were very welcoming, and enthusiastic that they could achieve a very good result. No possible drawbacks were discussed – only positives. I then had the suggested 985 grafts, which were intended to provide the full result. The treatment itself went well, staff were friendly and provided Pret sandwiches for lunch. However, when the results were not satisfactory, I was sold a further 685 grafts. Once again, this didn’t work. I was then offered a minimal “complimentary” procedure (just 159 grafts) to disguise an obvious patch. The attitude then changed, and the procedure itself and atmosphere were quite uncomfortable. And to make matters worse, none of the hairs grew, and they offered no follow-up (so much for “complimentary”). I now believe I have less hair than when I started, and certainly limited donor areas left. It seemed that whenever there was a problem, I was blamed (age, scar tissue, availability of donor sites etc. – not discussed before). I noticed that many of the five-star reviews are posted at initial stages, rather than after seeing results. If you want friendly sales people, comfortable premises and Pret sandwiches, then this is the place for you. If, however, you’d like to end up with more hair on your head, I’d suggest you look elsewhere.
