I don't like to write negative reviews but this hotel has forced my hand. This hotel is shady...straight up. I'm a man of principal, honesty and I work too hard to get treated the way I have been. Let me get into it...On August 10th, I went to support a good friend of mine (Booziebrunch) for a brunch she was hosting. As most of you know, downtown Oakland is known for folks getting their cars broken into so I decided to valet my car since it was connected to the hotel.Upon returning later that night, I see the valet guys duct taping my driver side mirror due to them breaking it. I'm a patient man and Kissel seemed to be a good spot so I didn't get mad, I would let my insurance handle it and this would be fixed. No harm, no foul.Fast forward to today and they have STILL yet to contact me. Each time I call, I am either given the run around or hung up on. Marcela Barrientos was supposed to contact me and she hasn't. I've called and emailed her multiple times. This is very disheartening.Since I do not live in Oakland anymore, I am unable to visit in person but I will never return nor stay here. It's clear to see that they don't mind taking your money but won't do the right thing and correct their mess ups. Apparently they are affiliated with Hyatt and I have submitted an official complaint with them.
