I began this program over 22 days ago. But it took me a year to get here. I tried a lot before that to stop drinking (AA multiple times, Outpatient, one-on-one therapy), but nothing helped. I was not drinking all day. My problem was a night and overdoing it to the point of daily hangovers, which I had to power through to run my business. I wasn't broken and beat down enough for those programs to work. I was in a space of in-between for a dozen years. And that space is just as bad. You're just stuck.I wanted to stop, but my mind switched over to thinking about alcohol every afternoon, and it became a habit to stop at the store. Years of neglect have caused my business to be stuck. The excitement of being an owner has gone. I don't have any drive except to get through the day.Then, 24 days ago, I was so tired of myself and never changing, and watching another FaceBook video of one of the guys the program helped, I decided I needed to try this out for myself. From day 1, I knew this was different. I could relate to Mark and the other guys in this program. They were all owned businesses and understood the stresses that came with that.I was surprised that Mark was on a weekly call with me to understand where I was and the steps he'd taken to get better. The work isn't hard, but you must commit to it daily for this to work. I feel 100% better about myself. I exercise seven days a week for 45 minutes or more. I do all of the Comeback 7F’s daily. I come back to faith. I send my wife a video message every day. They noticed the difference in week 1.I have figured out the solution that alcohol was solving, and I’m not lying to myself anymore. I am ready to start crushing my future with my family and my business.
