A good experience with IBAS from the very start. My dispute with Betfair was initiated swiftly by case manager Mr James Ironside.Mr James Ironside was very professional and extremely helpful taking my case forward against Betfair; Mr James Ironside was meticulous and understood my predicament eg open position unable to manage due to prolonged suspension of market.Betfair initially offered a derisory £25 compensation as goodwill gesture and final settlement; if I did not accept the offer would be rescinded eg if I went to IBAS. This was repeated on several email exchanges with Betfair. My dispute with Betfair centred on Man City Football Specials; the market was suspended suddenly without consultation or communication; suspension period was from 2nd May till June 3rd then extended to June 10th - the club's competition finals even when no game involving Man City or Arsenal that could influence the English Premier League. Prior to IBAS involvement I got nowhere (merely fobbed-off) eg Betfair has the right to suspend any market if they see fit; they were within their right under the terms and conditions, etc, etc; prior to this I was ignored until I sent an email to Mr Jackson CEO of Betfair.Several exchanges of emails between myself and Mr James Ironside mainly for updates, and to discuss the way forward post a Betfair response; between Mr James Ironside and Betfair. Eventually Betfair admitted their market was "malformed" - Betfair's description. Soon after Betfair indicated they'd look at my account in view of any losses incurred post 10th June (Man City European Cup Final). This morning post an email from Mr James Ironside to Betfair for an update on the above ie put right my account Betfair I was refunded just under £700 for not able to manage my position due to a "malformed" market and prolonged suspension; I'm ecstatic!I'm absolutely certain this will not have been possible without the intervention of IBAS in particular Mr James Ironside; I'm so grateful to Mr James Ironside for this outcome. This episode has made me very vary of The Exchange given the power of those responsible at Betfair despite they were in the wrong eg fobbing me off; ignoring several requests for email communication, etc.I'd advise any dispute one may have with a bookie it pays to approach IBAS; prior send an email to their CEO. Otherwise most probably you'll be ridden rough-shod by the bookie.Thank-you Mr James Ironside and IBAS.
