During my recent experience with Iberojet, the online check-in system was unavailable, which required me to complete the process at the airport counter. At the desk, my carry-on suitcase was weighed and registered at under 10 kilos. The staff then instructed me to place my personal item (a backpack) on the scale at the same time. Based on the combined weight of both items, I was informed that the suitcase had to be checked in, incurring a €100 fee.For the payment, the counter staff refused to accept euros, citing a lack of change, and required the equivalent amount to be paid strictly in cash using pesos. While at the counter, I witnessed approximately 15 other passengers going through the exact same procedure and being asked to pay the fee in cash. When I communicated my intention to record the situation on video to document the events for a formal complaint, the staff stated that doing so would result in them calling the police and denying my boarding.
