I wish I had read some of these reviews before joining this prop firm. I can see a lot of people are having the same issues as me.
I had a 5K 2-step account, passed both stages and got funded. Increased my funded account by 10% ($500) and asked for a payout. On the website it says 24-48 hours, I week later, still nothing, I sent several support emails and finally had a reply. Payout refused, account closed because of tick trading.
So, I trade on the 1 minute chart, I don't use a tick trade, some of my trades aren't open very long. I actually asked the question before I started the evaluation, if there was a minimum time a trade needed to be open for as i know other prop firms have such restrictions. They said there was no minimum!
Why did they pass my 2 step evaluation if that was the case? I didn't change my strategy between the either step or the funded account, it was only when I asked for a payout that suddenly my strategy is a problem. I am still waiting for a reply on exactly why they say I was tick scalping considering they said there was no minimum time a trade needed to be open.
I then had a reply from someone else in the support team who said my account was under review and they would get back to me. NO, you closed it.
Different things from different people in the support team, no-one seems to know what they are doing, clearly they lied to me about there being no minimum trade time.
Such a shame because IC markets is such a good broker, but their funded side is very very poor.
