Three years ago when I retired I thought I had closed the door for good on working clinically again. As such I let all registration etc lapse. So when I changed my mind and decided to return to work as a locum consultant there were several hurdles to cross to meet all the regulatory requirements. Some steps were easy some required re or new training on-line and in person some were frustrating as vital information had been “lost” by others and a work around was needed. This all took time and some effort but with the patient help of my recruitment consultant at ID medical we got there and I am fortunately back at work!
