The decision to send my CV to ID Medical was the best one I’ve made for my career. By the time I’d included them in the process, I had already applied to tens of positions throughout the NHS, and I was already in the UK doing an expensive clinical attachment to raise my chances of being invited for an interview. However, I was very unlucky throughout my search, and other agencies were giving me advice to go back to my country, get more experience in my desired specialty, and even sit through membership exams, which would’ve added at least two years to an already long and difficult GMC registration and job hunting process.
