We hired Idea Usher in early 2022 to build a custom music streaming and artist platform after being personally assured by CEO Nitish Garg of a professional, custom solution. We were not given a formal contract, nor were we advised on crucial technical decisions, such as the benefits of native code over Flutter—a serious oversight that would later cost us significantly. What was promised as a scalable, production-ready application turned out to be fundamentally broken.Despite investing over $20,000 and working with the company for more than two years, we were left with:- Poorly structured, unscalable code: The application was riddled with issues related to state management (GetX), dependency injection, and API integration, making it impossible to scale or maintain.- Major technical deficiencies: The UI/UX was messy, values were hardcoded, and the backend architecture failed basic stability and security expectations.- Lack of Project Management: The project managers failed to assist in bug fixes or inform us that hiring them for this purpose was an option. CEO Nitish Garg was never present during the development and seemed to have no interest in the project’s progress.Their counter-review is filled with misrepresentations and false claims that must be addressed:- On Application Rejection: Idea Usher claims our apps were rejected due to copyright issues. This is false. The primary reasons for denial from Google Play and Apple were the absence of a privacy policy and the uploading of screenshots that advertised features not yet in the code. We have official documentation proving this.- On Maintenance and Support: They claim we declined a maintenance plan. This option was never presented to us. Instead, we were told bug fixes were our responsibility, a key factor in our decision to cut our losses and hire a new team. Their claim that we returned after a long gap is also misleading; we continuously tried to get the product to a functional state.- On Their "Goodwill Gesture" and Threats: The partial refund they offered was conditional on us dishonestly revising our review to say "everything was fixed." This was a clear attempt to silence us. When we initially expressed our intent to share our experience, the CEO, Nitish Garg, threatened to have his 250+ employees leave us 1-star reviews. This was followed by a series of apology emails and WhatsApp messages from their company.- On The Apps Being Live: Idea Usher claims we are still using the applications they developed because they are live on app stores. This is another outright lie. We no longer host the infrastructure to make them functional, and they will soon be removed by the app stores by default. We have since invested $160,000 to have a new development team completely rebuild the platform in native code—the option that Idea Usher should have presented from the start.Despite their public promise of a "100% Developer Skill Guarantee or Your Money Back," they have refused to acknowledge any failure and have resorted to gaslighting and misinformation. Our experience with Idea Usher was a frustrating and costly one, filled with delays, excuses, and a complete lack of accountability. We cannot in good faith recommend this company to anyone seeking a reliable, honest, and professional development partner.
