I had my number fraudulently ported from my ID mobile account and it has been an absolute nightmare! ID allowed my number to be ported by a scammer who fraudulently obtained a PAC code for my number due to IDs negligence in ensuring sufficient security measures were exercised. I have since been without a phone and ID have eventually retrieved my number but I have no confidence in them now. They have refused to end my contract early so that I can move to another more reputable provider. So I have no choice but to keep my number and stay with ID despite the scammers having had access to this. More so I was further disconnected as my direct debit was allocated incorrectly to the inactive account as I now have two accounts with ID for the same number, one active and one inactive! Therefore I have had to pay this months bill twice in order to have access to my phone. They are refusing to refund me as are saying they have no record I have paid this twice, despite me sending proof of my bank statement. The whole thing has been a nightmare from start to finish and I am now out of pocket by one months bill and have spent countless hours on live chats, emails and phone calls trying to sort the whole mess out!
