Absolutely Terrible Long-Distance Moving ExperienceI booked a long-distance move with Illinois Movers and initially had a smooth experience speaking with Randy, who even provided a 7-day delivery guarantee in writing. Unfortunately, everything after that was a complete nightmare.While the pickup went smoothly, they upcharged us on the spot, claiming we had too many items—even though we spent 3 hours on the phone with Randy beforehand calculating the inventory. We ended up paying nearly double what we were originally quoted.Then came the delays. They manipulated the “first available delivery date” to dodge their 7-day guarantee, resulting in our items arriving nearly 3 weeks late after multiple angry emails and very poor communication.To make matters worse, several items arrived broken, and of course, no one from their team ever followed up. Their emails throughout the process were unprofessional, aggressive, and dismissive.I do not recommend this company to anyone—especially for long-distance moves. This was one of the most stressful and disappointing service experiences I’ve ever had.
