Oh dear. Where to start? Well, that's actually quite fitting because our first problem was where to start. The address didn't seem to exist. Somehow we found ourselves within 20m of the start and could therefore press start. We huddled around a mobile phone to find out what we had to do: find other (virtual) characters and perform little tests that only one person could do. So far so bad, but not the worst of it... The app took us walking through the most rundown, ugly, nondescript parts of Lowestoft which, let's face it, isn't the most beautiful of towns at the best of times (no shade intended). We saw disused buildings, building sites, industrial units, roundabouts, ring roads and endless boring roads with nothing to distinguish them from any other roads. We walked for miles and 'found' three of the characters but gave up when people started (understandably) complaining about how far they'd walked, with no clues as to how much further it would be. It was rubbish. It wasn't fun. It wasn't collaborative. It didn't get us to notice interesting parts of the town. It was a boring, exhausting, confusing, frustrating, pointless, futile experience. How hard would it have been to have included one or two topical/situational clues pertinent to where we were, or to have confined the walking to the town centre, or to have put a sticker or something on some of the landmarks to give the players confidence that they were in the right place. The only positive aspect to this experience is that I have learned to avoid this lazy company in future and to not give them any more of my money. UPDATE: Thank goodness we abandoned it after two puzzles as I didn't realise at the time that there were 15 altogether!!Yes, I probably didn't read the instructions (AFTER PRESSING 'START') as thoroughly as I needed to but if you could have emailed those instructions so I could have read through them at leisure instead of 25 minutes late at the start when already things had gone so awfully wrong. The spot on the map took us to an unremarkable part of town and it wasn't near a 'Station Square unit 4'. So, yes, that probably ruined the whole experience for us. Whatever, we won't be trying it again. UPDATE: I AM NOT GIVING FALSE FEEDBACK!!! What an outrageous accusation! Yes I received the 'instruction' email but it only concerned itself with how to download and start the game which I didn't have a problem with. The problems started when finding the starting place (some random place on a busy road) and AFTER pressing start (which I already stated). Are you deliberately being obtuse?- There was nothing about how the game would go or how there would be nothing physical to look for or where the starting point actually was or that there were 15 puzzles or that the puzzles would be phone based (like Pokemon Go) or how far we would have to walk.If I was in any doubt as to the calibre of this company, the response to my genuine concerns has left me in no doubt.HORRENDOUS COMPANY.
