***WARNING TO ALL ELDERLY RESIDENTS IN MANCHESTER AREA, BEING ASKED ABOUT BOILER/ENERGY HELP GOVERNMENT SCHEME.This company are appalling and preying on the elderly generation for their own gain.The 1 star is for the engineer who fitted the boiler and did a good job.They approached my 83 year old parent, who has no internet, no mobile etc, which they were made aware of at the assessment. They removed the working boiler in situ and replaced it will a new one. Great, you would think- NO!The new boilers have to be operated by Google Nest, and an app on a mobile, run by having internet. As my elderly father has NEITHER of these, and no intention of purchasing, he was left unable to use the new boiler.We contacted Improveasy and someone went out and set something up on it. He went out next day and on returning home, his house was like a furnace. There was no way the temperature could be lowered and he had no way to use the nest. Therefore, it had to be unplugged.Several times I've requested a manual to set by hand.NOTHING!I have also asked for a timer clock to be put on, so he can easily set times/days. NOTHING!Upon speaking to them again, and asking for a different boiler to be put in, that can be used by elderly parent,I was told my elderly parent would now have to pay for one to be fitted, as the only get money from the Government, for fitting Google nest ones. If they want a manual clock fitted, to enable them to use it, they have to pay for it, at a cost of £150. Absolutely appalling, disgusting,con artists!!You should be ashamed, preying on vulnerable people to line your pockets.I will be raising with local MP and Ombudsman.
