My boiler was fitted at the beginning of October I’ve contacted the company several times regards my grievances yet heard nothing back from them. The contractor couldn't turn off my water using the stop tap, I even showed them where the outside tap was which turned off not just mine but other houses along the road too. They spent almost two hours trying to turn off my water. They arrived without a boiler and needed one to be delivered, which was fine as they were taking out the old one whilst that arrived. However they delivered the wrong boiler. I specifically asked for a Worcester boiler at my first point of contact and the day before my installation I signed paperwork with the company saying I would have a Worcester Greenstar 4000 installed. However they brought an Idealogic boiler. I pointed this out to the contractor who told me he'd rang head office and that I was having this one. So I rang head office and after a heated conversation they acknowledged my paperwork and agreed to install the boiler I had signed for. This however meant that they took out my old boiler on the Tuesday then had to return on the Wednesday with the Worcester boiler.During the installation I had a leak through my living room ceiling which the contractor kept saying he had fixed yet it continued to leak all day. After ringing head office again he eventually (fourth attempt!!) stopped the leak. Whilst they were in my house I went up the stairs to find the contractor using my toilet with the bathroom door open! My 12 year old daughter was in the house! Utterly disrespectful and unnecessary behaviour! On another occasion I was in my bedroom, which they both knew I was in there. The contractor abruptly entered without knocking looked around the room and left with no explanation. I could've been getting changed or using the en-suite bathroom. Again very inappropriate behaviour and completely unnecessary. During the installation the radiator in my kitchen burst, flooding my kitchen. I rang head office to see what they were going to do about this and they said they would ring the contractor. Head office never got back to me, instead the contractor accosted me on my staircase, blocking my exit down the stairs. He aggressively stated that they did not cover the damage they had caused and I had to pay. At this point I was alone in the house with my three young children and felt very intimidated. So I rang head office and paid the full amount just to get them out of my house. The contractor stood next to me the entire time and made me feel very uncomfortable in my own home! I was not happy to pay as the damage was caused by them however I felt I had no choice. I messaged my own plumber as I was having concerns with their work who said he would pop in on his way past and did do. He noticed that they had removed the magnaclean from my old boiler and hadn't installed a new one to my new boiler. He pointed this out to the contractor and informed him it was a hard water area and as such was needed. He also said that it would affect my warranty if it wasn't installed at the time. The contractor ignored all of this and I do not have it attached now. The installation guide that was left behind with my boiler does say one is needed. They left my daughter's bedroom in a terrible state, with nails, metal and general debris scattered everywhere and three large damp patches. They had to drill a hole through the wall and had moved her clothes to do so, leaving them in huge piles all over the floor, all of which got soaking wet through by them! I have since discovered a hole on the outside of my wall which I think is where an old pipe was taken out but this has not been filled in and is simply letting cold air into my house. The contractor left behind the warranty paperwork which clearly says in bold type that the installer should register the warranty in order to get the full years of warranty and that if you do it yourself the warranty is limited. I think he did this as my plumber had already pointed out his error in not installing the filter/softener (magnaclean). An awful experience from beginning to end and I would never recommend this company. As a single parent lady in the house it was a very uncomfortable and intimidating experience!
