I've been a member of InterNations for a few years now. Since 2019 to be precise. And I've also been a Consul of a group from 2021 till present, organising events. It's been a lovely and helpful way to get to know an awful lot of new people who have then become friends and with whom I've shared hundreds of nice moments: from aperitifs, to visiting exhibitions, to going to the theatre or to the cinema, up to hiking in the mountains, going to the seaside and also spending weekends and holidays together. So, what to ask for more... If you're into languages like me - I teach languages to professionals, managers, businessmen, companies, etc. - that's a wonderful opportunity to keep them trained since you get to know people from all over the world. Which is something special in itself since you get to know first hand about other cultures, ways of living, and so on. I'd definitely recommend to become part of the community. They organise so many things and there are so many different groups all over the world. So while travelling, if you're all alone, you can always rely on one of the events there are up somewhere.
