I’ve been a client of IRA Financial for nearly 15 years, and this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had.At the end of September, I initiated a transfer that I was told would take 3–5 business days. Because it was time-sensitive, I followed up on October 1 to make sure everything was in order. The representative said some paperwork was missing but helped me complete it online while I was on the phone. She again told me the funds would arrive within 3–5 days.Today is well past that timeframe, and the money still hasn’t arrived. When I called, I was told I now have to wait for someone to email me to schedule a verification appointment — with no indication of when available to talk to me — because they’re short-staffed. Meanwhile, these funds were supposed to go to my builder for a renovation tied to my IRA property.Because of this delay, I may lose my builder for several weeks and roughly $10,000 in lost rental income. I also take great pride in my reputation for always meeting my financial obligations on time, and this situation has unfairly hurt that reputation through no fault of my own. What makes this worse is that no one seems to care or take ownership. Instead of someone taking 30 seconds to verify my identity and fix this, I’ve been told to just “wait.”After nearly 15 years as a loyal client, I expected better communication, accountability, and urgency. This entire experience has cost me significant time and money.
