We were on the same ferry as some who had a bad time and have complained about their journeys. Holyhead closed - major issue for customers and for Irish Ferries - but no one’s fault. Strong winds causing delays (Sunday 22nd) certainly not Irish Ferries fault. And, so, the journey. From Pembroke to Rosslare (rather than Holyhead/Dublin). Yes times moved about, messages were sometimes late coming, things were a bit chaotic. Yes Irish Ferries management could have done a better job to endure left hand/right hand were more in touch in some places. However Irish Ferries staff “on the ground” were - without exception - as cheerful and helpful as anyone customer service reps we’ve travelled with. Despite crowded decks and (thankfully few) stroppy people they remained calm & helpful. Travelling with small kids can’t have been great - it rarely is - but for any able adults it was just a slightly difficult journey - it’s life. And you’re home for Christmas. I’ll also say that most customers were cheerful too with only a few exceptions (some of whom are obviously sharing their views).
