Usually I hop onto the DFDS ferry to go Dover to Calais. But for various reasons, I ended up exploring Irish Ferries for this journey.I have to say, I wish I had switched years ago!The price was better than the others. That probably fluctuates but was in my favour this time.At the docks they have a better position next to the BurgerKing/WHsmith/clean toilets. On the ferry it was much cleaner and nicer than I am used to. The ship looked like it had recently been refitted.I paid extra for the ClubClass and was pleasantly surprised. I'll be doing that every trip now.Only niggle I has was the duty free shopping they missed the discount voucher I presented. But no biggy.Other aspects are similar to all. Same process through the docks. Same time on route etc.
