IZI Peru showed us nice photos of a lodge during the sales process (Jan 2026). We paid USD 365 per person for a 4-day/3-night tour to Tambopata based on that expectation.
Upon arrival, we were taken to a completely different category of accommodation, which after some research was listed for around half the price of the one offered. A scam.
Their defense? "You changed phone numbers, so we processed you as a new customer." They never disclosed that the lodge shown might be swapped for a much cheaper one. I paid more than the actual value of the lodge I received.
Formal complaint has been filed with INDECOPI (Peru's consumer protection agency). Book with caution: their photos are misleading.
