Everywhere I went I had stable internet connection. From Hokkaido over Tokio, Mt Fuji, Shizuoka, Osaka, to Takamatsu, Matsuyama and Tottori. The traffic volume could be a bit bigger or other setup (like daily traffic limits) to be perfect, if you watch streams everyday it doesn't cover it. But for everything else it's perfekt.
