I’ve used the standard aluminium jb prince offset tweezers for years. I’ve always appreciated them over sometimes even more expensive tweezers as they require very light force to squeeze yet they have a firm enough grip to hold heavier things. They were sold out and I really needed a new pair so I bought the black ones. These, to my needs, are a far inferior product. The tips are less fine and precise and you have to apply more pressure to clasp them. If I had known this I would have never bought them. I got cheaper ones off amazon that I strongly prefer.Because the minimum order for free shipping has increased from the $50 it used to be, I put together a $100 order of stuff I didn’t need just to get these offset tweezers (really that was the most important and urgent need for my order) and I don’t think I will ever use them. To say I’m disappointed would minimise some of the anger I feel over the whole situation. On the other hand, I think three stars is a fair review of my purchase as a whole because some of the other products are made well. The two other shape standard aluminium jb prince brand tweezers are still Excellent as always (although the shape is less valuable to me than the offset) and the Kunz spoons are as well. The cheaper other branded tweezers I bought to fill up the order are lacklustre but acceptable.
