Do JML care?

Let me start by saying that I love the idea of JML products. The 2 very disappointing things that I want to say are 1. I have purchased their automatic can opener (due to having arthritis in my hands) 3 times in the last 2 years, using each a couple of times and each one has JUST STOPPED WORKING, whirring away but no longer opening cans! Obviously I find this out at the time when I need to USE the can opener! And 2. I decide to contact the JML customer service, no answer! I Followed up, some weeks later, still no answer and I can only conclude months later that they don’t really stand behind their products nor care about their customers spending money on items that don’t have the expected lifespan. Now I watch all their Christmas gadgets being advertised and just roll my eyes!
