I got my first mattress ever from John Ryan, an Origins Pocket 1500. I thought I needed a firm mattress due to back pain issues but their sales rep (Michaela L) convinced me that there is a difference b/w spring tension and comfort layer feel, and that for my weight a medium spring tension is recommended. She answered a number of other questions I had - and did not pressure me to make a sale. Nor did she make recommendations for any mattress over my own budget - I hate it when sales people do that! Furthermore, I appreciate that John Ryan do not do highly discounted and manipulative sales like other mattress providers. The mattress costs X and that’s that. I found the John Ryan website full of valuable info that other mattress providers don’t share. In contrast, the salesman at a Dream store nearby had no advice to share other than to select what feels good at the store - and tried to pressure me into buying something quickly! I really did not want to give my money to them after that.All in all - I felt like John Ryan offers a great customer experience and I wanted to buy from them and support that.Delivery only took a few weeks. Whilst you can’t check the mattress before buying, John Ryan also do a full refund if you are not happy with the mattress. This gave me the confidence to buy from them.One month in, I am really happy with the mattress. I don’t know if the experience will still be good in 5 years or so, but time will tell. Keep up the good work, John Ryan.
