I recently traveled to Sri Lanka for the first time with join the crew. Basically it was nice to get an already organized tour. Nevertheless, it was far too expensive. Most of the activities had to be paid extra. I checked the prices, if you book the hotels (at JTC you have double occupancy!) and the included activities, entrance fees etc. yourself, you end up with UNDER 1000€. At JTC the tour costs almost 2000€. If it's ok for you to pay over 50% just for the service, then I can recommend the tour, otherwise it's better to book it yourself. The group was nice, I made some new friends with whom I will definitely go shopping soon :)
