We had a lovely week with a great skipper and friendly people, which made the experience enjoyable. That said, I found the overall cost quite high (over €900 for the week, plus around €300 for food and restaurants, not including flights) given the amount of work required on board. Guests are expected to cook daily, clean up after meals, assist with sailing, and at the end of the trip, complete an inventory of leftover food for the next crew while ensuring the boat is left in excellent condition. It’s also important to note that all expenses for the skipper are covered by the guests. I think overall it was more relaxing for the skipper than for us.
