Following a gym-cident in September I'd been in daily pain with my shoulder and arm. My mobility was severely limited and I was unable to do simple tasks, such as put dinner plates in a cupboard or pour water from a kettle. The pain at night would keep me awake. I'd worked with my trainer and my sports masseuse as I thought the issue was a pulled muscle, but nothing we did gave me any comfort. It was suggested a I get an ultrasound to see what the issue was. My first ultrasound was at a clinic I'd used before, they identified it as a shoulder impingement and suggested a guided cortisone injection. Sadly the wait on the NHS is months long so I decided to look privately and came across some wonderful reviews about Ram. I was super hesitant as I'd not used Ram before and having anyone inject you, you have to be sure they know what they are doing. Ram was incredible. I was able to see him within 48 hours and even though I'd had one ultrasound he was thorough and performed his own and not only did he concur with the impingement, he found a small calcium deposit that could impact me over time. He agreed a cortisone injection would be the best treatment and he administered that for me there and then. The injection was mildly uncomfortable, nowhere near as painful as I thought it could be. Within minutes my pain score was significantly less, I was able to put my coat on with no arm pain. I woke up the next morning pain free, for the first time in three months. My mobility was back but was advised by Ram to take it easy for the next week, no other physio or sports massages. I returned to the gym last night and was able to resume my workout pain free and with my mobility back! Ram gave me advice on what arm exercises to avoid in the future in order to keep any calcium deposits to a minimum. I only wish I had seen Ram first and had the guided ultrasound with him first. I'd have been pain free much sooner. Ram is calming, knowledgeable and will relax the most nervous of patient. I would heartily recommend Ram and his MSK guided ultrasound to anyone looking for a exceptional clinician.
