Jason quoted us £1,800 for our move, which was already higher than other quotes, but he offered flexibility around our completion date. While we had done most of the packing ourselves and he and his team only spent about two hours moving boxes, on the day of the move he demanded an extra £400 because there were a few steps at the new house which he hadn’t factored in. This was more than a 20% increase on the original quote.We had no real choice but to agree, as he effectively held our belongings hostage until we accepted the additional payment. After I made the payment, he also changed his mind about disposing of a sofa, which he had previously agreed to include in the price.Be very careful if you are using this company. I am submitting a case to my bank, as I’m not sure he would have agreed to offload our items had I refused to pay the extra charge.
