I worked with an adviser called Adam at Just Mortgages in early 2024 and unfortunately my experience wasn’t positive. I had contacted the firm to understand my options about remortgaging or selling, as I needed clear advice around removing my ex-partner from the mortgage.I found that much of the communication took place by phone without written follow-up, which made it difficult to keep track of where things stood. I also didn’t feel I received clear guidance on the alternatives available to me at a crucial time, and this left me in a very challenging position when my previous mortgage deal came to an end.I pursued the matter through the Financial Ombudsman Service. Although the Ombudsman ultimately did not uphold the complaint, the situation has continued to cause me stress and financial difficulty, and I personally would have valued clearer advice and more transparent communication from the start.This review reflects my own experience, and I would encourage others to make sure they request written confirmation of all advice and options when dealing with any mortgage adviser.”
