Unfortunately terrible experience with this company. I NEVER write bad reviews, but I’m doing this to warn others. I also read the other negative reviews and they are on point. 1. Sales process is misleading. During sales they make it seem like everything will be done for you and you are going to have a very easy and fast time transitioning into using Karbon. That’s complete bs. Also they DO NOT say that regardless where you use the program or not they are going to charge you ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP and they don’t want to work with you to return the money or do anything to help you implement the program. 2. Very costly and inefficient implementation process. After they charge you $7000 and keep your card on file and make your sign an agreement that of course none of us read hoping that whatever it says in the agreement is what was already said during the call, well, not in this case they put in the agreement that you are now tied down to an annual plan and go and charge you for the whole year for the amount of users that you said you will tentatively have. When we come back to the implementation process, they charge $7000 for 5 or 6 zoom calls with their implementation specialist during which they expect a whole entire accounting firm to transfer their whole entire process processes to a whole new platform. So this costs at the end of the day more than $1000 an hour to have a couple of zoom videos. At the end of the day they want us who are not IT people and who are tax prepared to go and actually do all the work they give you tasks on what you have to do which is a whole huge long process of setting up your system. 3. Very steep learning curve. A lot of firms have said that this software has an extremely steep learning curve. They claimed that in a month the whole team will be able to use the software, but in reality implementation is completely useless and it’s going to take more than a year to get used to the software 4. Clients do not like it. There have been multiple complaints from clients regarding the interface of the program regarding how difficult it is to use and how the links always expire5. Terrible Support. As I have said before in all the points, it all comes back to the fact that Support is really really bad and a lot of people are saying that as well. There’s really no support. All this company wants is to take your money and not deliver any product to you. 6. They steal your money without giving you your money back. This is crazy but they charged me $7000 for implementation that has never happened during this time they charged me another $11,000 for my annual contract. Supposedly the contract started on October 15 right after the deadline for the tax extensions. The day they charged me $11,000 for 10 users for the whole year upfront we have not even been anywhere near finishing implementation of the product. I reached out multiple times to postpone the charges to when we actually start using the program. Today is January 26 guess what? No money has been returned. No implementation has been done. We have paid for months of not using this software. As all of us, Accountant know the taxis is coming and there is no way we will be implementing the program while we are in tax season. I asked for a full refund saying that I do not like the ethics of this company and I would never do it to any of my clients and I just don’t understand how I can move forward with a company that goes behind your back and charges you for something that you are not even using. Still no refund to this day. Please stay away from this company. They are just another company that wants to take your money and they don’t care about you at all.
