I have used Katteb to accelerate the writing of blog posts. It's capable of generating very decent article outlines and first drafts, and has fine tuning (eg tone of voice). Better than other AI writers is the "fact-checked" nature of Katteb's output. While Katteb isn't as mind-blowing as CHATGPT (Beta version 15 Dec) it is certainly better in one respect - Katteb can generate articles about current events and do so accurately, while CHATGPT is limited to its 2021 training data and can't access the Web (yet).I fully expect Katteb to upgrade from OpenAI's GPT 3 to GPT 3.5 (chatGPT) and GPT4 when they are made available via API. In the meantime I am enjoying the side-by-side use of Katteb + chatgpt (in its free beta mode). Katteb is a worthwhile competitor in the AI writing space. For reference, I bought a lifetime licence on AppSumo so I don't make monthly payments. But I'd probably buy a monthly licence to use Katteb if I missed out on the lifetime deal.
